Lahaina Printsellers has been in business for over 40 years, established in 1976. We reproduce some of the most influential artist’s paintings of the early history of Hawaii such as: Charles Bartlett, Eugene Savage and John Kelly. We also feature an impressive Hawaiian sheet music collection so if you are seeking Hawaiian nostalgia, look no further.
We have one of the largest assortments of antique maps of Hawaii, The Pacific, and The World. Our collection of antique maps represents a wide range of companies and cartographers, including: Ortelius, Blaeu, Mercator, Stahan & Cadell, John Tallis, Rand McNally, Mitchell, Colton, Johnson, Binger, Weller, Cram and the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge (S.D.U.K). Behind The Canvas
Thanks to modern technology and an immense amount of research and development, we now produce an extensive array of images on canvas for a fraction of the price of the originals. We use archival inks and this coupled with our canvas substrate creates a product which is not only completely waterproof but the image is guaranteed not to fade or shift for over 100 years! These superb re-creations are produced in-house and are available exclusively from us.
About The Giclée Printing Process
A giclée print is quite simply the closest replication of an original artwork that is currently possible. The name comes from the French word GICLEE (pronounced Zhee-Clay) that means “spray”. At Lahaina Printsellers we create our own giclées, employing state-of-the-art equipment and professional designers who are skilled in the digital arts.
Ka’anapali Beach Hotel, Lahaina Shores, The Pioneer Inn, The Plantation Inn and The Aqua Waikiki Wave Hotel are a few of our latest renovation clients. Our vast collection and design expertise have been selected by many discriminating companies around the world to produce custom imagery to support and enhance their business.
Hand-made Rattan Frames
Our frames are commissioned and manufactured exclusively for us by a small family owned facility in Cebu, The Phillipines. We provide four beautiful styles : Molokini, Molokai, Hawaii, and Kauai .
